Born in 1946, Daphrose Mukarutamu transformed personal tragedy into a powerful movement for healing and empowerment. After losing her husband and nine children during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, she founded the Duhozanye Association, helping thousands of widows and orphans rebuild their lives.
